Synopsis: The Takedown 2022 Ousmane Diakité and François Monge are two cops with very different styles, backgrounds, and careers. An unlikely pair reunite once again for a new investigation that takes them across France. What appears to be a simple drug deal turns out to be a much bigger criminal case wrapped in unexpected danger and comedy. Mr Sy’s Ousmane Diakité is now head of the criminal division, but his estranged former partner, François Monge (Mr Lafitte), is still in the district police. (The police hierarchy is different here, but it suffices to state that Ousmane has been promoted whereas Franois has not.) François is a big égoste who thinks his co-workers are joking when they tell him he’s annoying. When François happens to be present when half of the murder victims are literally half discovered, he attaches himself to the Ousmane investigation, and the two reestablish themselves as unofficial collaborators.
