Synopsis: The Adventures of Maid Marian 2022 Following a tragic accident that claimed the life of one of their twins, Rachel (Teresa Palmer) and her husband Anthony (Steven Cree) move to the other side of the world with their surviving son in hopes of building a new life. As soon as The Twin opens against a backdrop of endless cornfields, you can immediately confirm two things about Taneli Mustonen’s Scandinavian chiller set; First, nothing good happens when a horror film features a certain crop, and second, it’s the start of a seemingly endless list of tropes that filmmakers use to generate fears that mostly don’t work. All of this ultimately leads to a touch of Shyamalan’s style, which is so well executed as a punctuation mark for Palmer’s evolution of grief handling.
