Synopsis: Sleep 2022 Marlene, a woman plagued by nightmares, suffers destruction in a remote village. As his daughter Mona follows him, he discovers a well-kept family secret and an old curse that ultimately threatens his life – a never-ending nightmare. The beautiful village of Stainbach is haunted by a mysterious demon. It turns out that the nightmare of Marlene (Sandra Hüller) is responsible for the dark events. He drives some of the villagers crazy during his nightmare. When he discovers his nightmare of a real place, he tracks down the village of Stainbach to get to the bottom of the mystery. There, she learns about the consequences of her dream and suffers from a nervous breakdown. Soon after, he was admitted to a psychiatric ward. Her daughter, Mona (Gro Swantje Kohlhof), travels to Stainbach to find out the reason for her mother’s destruction and the demonic nightmares she suffers. He connects with strange villagers and discovers the dark history hidden within a quiet village.
