Synopsis: Rise 2022 Follows three Nigerian-Greek brothers, who were raised from anonymity and propelled to professional basketball fame. Vera and Charles Antetokounmpo’s parents moved to Greece from Nigeria to get a better chance at life for their family. The couple works hard to support their five children, while the reality of deportation from a difficult citizenship system threatens their children’s dreams. To earn enough money to pay the bills, the family teamed up to sell souvenirs to tourists in Athens. When the opportunity arose, the Antetokounmpo brothers took their frustrations out on a public basketball court. Individually, they quickly realized that even though they had no experience in the sport, they were naturally talented footballers. With the help of a talent agent, the three decide to pursue careers in the NBA.
