Synopsis: Revealer 2022 centers on Angie Pitarelli, played by Caito Aase, an exotic dancer at a low-end company in Chicago. Bullied daily by religious protesters led by Shaina Schrooten’s Sally Mewbourne, Angie is just trying to make a living. However, when the Christian apocalypse arrives, these polar opposites must depend on each other for survival. At least, that’s the promise. What ensues is an escape room melodrama that’s barely bloodier than anything close to compelling horror. The problem of being small is never seen, though much is told. Instead of suggesting something apocalyptic, most of the events are implied like the sound of a loud trumpet prompting Sally to tell the Bible’s Book of Revelation. but since Angie bought the apocalypse early on, it’s the most amazing plot point unseen off-screen. We were told of the sky raining fire and hordes of demons coming, but never saw anything. The audience was mainly left with two sweaty men stuck in a stripper booth arguing about religion.
