Synopsis: Prey 2022 Naru, a young Comanche woman trained as a healer, dreams of becoming a great hunter like her older brother, Taabe. While tracking a deer with his dog Sarii, he witnesses the arrival of a “thunderbird” in the sky, taking it as a sign that he is ready to prove himself. Taabe agrees to take him with him as he leads a mountain lion search squad that attacks one of the tribe’s hunters. As they leave, an unknown stalker follows and observes the hunters while collecting the skulls of several species of local predators. Naru traps the lion but falls and hits him on the head after being distracted by a burst of light. Taabe took him home and returned to finish off the wounded lion, an act that was respected by the chief and other tribesmen. An envious Naru leaves the house in secret the next day to hunt; he tries to kill a grizzly bear but is quickly cornered by the beast due to his inexperience. Suddenly, he sees the bear being overpowered and killed by his stalker, fleeing in horror before encountering a group of Comanche hunters sent to find him. The creature quickly ambushes and kills them, and Naru tries to escape before his feet get caught in a metal trap. The creature, seeing that he was unarmed, left.
