Synopsis: Harmony 2022 In the near future, Sophia, a wounded soldier, discovers that the medical facility she is placed in is not for the restoration of herself and her fellow soldiers, but something far more devious – So she sets out to uncover the true purpose of HARMONY. Sophia’s interactions with Ranson as well as fellow patients Erik (Mark Frazier) and Charles (Pry’ce Jaymes, Look Into Darkness, Amanda) piqued my interest enough that the film’s overall lack of action didn’t bother me. We get some in the last action of the film. Not enough to make Sophia into the Ripley-like character she wanted to be, but enough to give the film a nice adrenaline rush on its way to Harmony’s somewhat mysterious ending. On the other hand, Harmony does have some issues, which is to be expected. Micro-budget filmmaking is never easy, especially science fiction and action due to genre expectations. Despite the “very near future” setting the lack of anything futuristic will bother some as much as the bigger budget film’s lack of elaborate fight scenes.
