Synopsis: Erzulie 2022 Four best friends with hard backstories reconnect at the “Redneck Resort” in south Louisiana for a peaceful weekend in the bayou, but can’t get rid of their problems: Wendy loses her job, Ari loses her brother, Violet has nightmares, and Faye’s ex was following her. These girls need more help than they can find at the bottom of the margarita, and Wendy has a strange plan: summon the legendary goddess Erzulie, who is rumored to rule the local waters and provide help to women in need. Unfortunately, local waters have recently been off limits due to the mysterious death of a Spring Break swimmer, but after drinking too many cocktails, the group decides to be careful and summon Erzulie from the river on their first night. A terrible accident ensues and forces them to abandon their mystical plans.
