Synopsis: DC Showcase Constantine The House of Mystery 2022 Following the devastating events of Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War, paranormal detective and spiritualist John Constantine (voiced by Matt Ryan) uses magic to turn back time and reset the world with the help of The Flash, ensuring that the Apocalypse War never happened. . As punishment for meddling with the universe, Constantine was banished to an underworld called The House of Mystery where he literally spent hundreds of years being tortured by demons and killed and/or eaten every day. But because he was clever and predicted the day he would be imprisoned in this hellish place, he sold his soul to three different demons, each of whom came to retrieve it at the same time, giving him his only chance of escape. At around 20 minutes or so, Constantine: The House of Mystery is a fine, if very bloody, companion piece to the DC animated film Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War. It presents a post-apocalyptic earth at the start and spends most of its time running in the Purgatory-type Mystery House where all sorts of hellish events happen to Constantine. DC line fans will enjoy it, and maintain the momentum throughout. Directed by Matt Peters.
