Synopsis: Darlings 2022 Hamzah is an alcoholic who beats his wife Badru after drinking, every night since their 3 year love marriage. Badru found many ways to make him stop drinking, one of them was by urging Hamzah to have children. Hamzah is constantly at odds with other community members over the renovation of the tenement where they live. Badru attended one of the meetings where the final decision on the renovation of the building would be taken. Badru attended the meeting, although Hamzah asked him not to and was beaten again. Zulfi, who does odd jobs around the tenement, often visits Badru and his mother, Shamshu. He is aware of the torment that Badru goes through every day. He filed a complaint against Hamzah for physical abuse. Hamzah is arrested, but Badru promises to stop drinking once they have children. Badru got Hamzah out of prison and suffered more abuse at the hands of Hamzah, who didn’t change. Hamzah later learned that his liver was cirrhotic and he had to stop drinking or he would die. Meanwhile, Hamzah was eager to know who filed the complaint against him. He finally found out that Zulfi did it and Badru knew it all the time. Hamzah returns home with the news that Badru is pregnant.
